This is a collection with almost every solo from the album "STEELER" (except for Abduction and Hot on your heels because of it's length). STEELER was the first band Malmsteen played with in the U.S. More about STEELER, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steeler

'Born To Rock' is amazing as it clearly shows his primary influences while still being only playable by him technique-wise. The first section is straight outta 'In Trance'-era Uli (specially 4:37 to 4:40), then after the blues comes one of his trademark lydian scalar runs, ending in Eddie style bend and tap, followed by Blackmore´s 'Lazy'. The following section (4:48) is so Michael Schenker that it´s not even funny ! This motherfucker did his homework !!

I actually like his Pre-solo career albums (solos) more because they didn't sound too repetitive, it's just raw in your face Rock arpeggios...His early 2000's and onwards effort sounded excruciatingly repetitive I actually stopped caring for his music for awhile

I bought this album back in the day, me and my friend, who were into guitars were like 'who is this guy he is amazing?' We listened to this album all day and night. The next day we went to see a Ted Nugent Concert and the opening act was Alcatrazz.

If yngwie wasn't the best guitarist of his generation. Donald Sterling isn't a racist. ( allegedly ) Yngwie is still the best metal composer in my opinion.

Serenade solo is one best guitar solos that Yngwie ever done, really virtuous and soulfull and really beutifull, a masterpiece no doubt.

Malmsteen has announced his great career as a virtuoso guitarist at the time, and gave no other, today it is revered and respected by many as a musician and composer, for me it is a living legend, Save Malmsteen.

in the 80s when I had this on a cassette(anybody remember trading tapes?) Id fast forward to the solos lol,Yngwie was full of fire and grace back then,he really didnt fit into this band but at the same time he made this band, not even a blip on the radar without Yngwie,
