The singer Graham Bonnet was jealous of Ygnwie. Yngwie said that in an interview. Graham complained Yngwie was stealing the show,....THAT he WAS! not on PURPOSE. Yngwie just went out and did his thing, which was amazing.

Malmsteen sucks he can't play anything else than those scales he always do......there is a lot of underrated guitarists in this world but this one is highly overrated......yes interesting for 10mins cus of his speed but then verrry boring.....

Does Malmsteen not know any other scales? He seems to play the same scales in every one of his songs lol.. Just because you can play them really fast malm, doesn't mean they are different.

I forgot how good prime Ynwie was. Very creative and technical.

Blues / rock players at that time were probably ...''What the fuck, how the hell is he doin' that?''

Damn he is good huh?! Is that neck scalloped? Hard to tell. I have a couple of Ibanez JEMS and they have scalloped frets (last 4 frets -21-24) and its neat but I wonder what a whole neck feels like?

He played a lot more bluesy like back then, he didn't abuse the phygrian mode as much lol.

I think the pre accident Yngwie is the best. His play just seemed so much more free to me. His technique just changed after his accident. Don't get me wrong I still love the guys playing to this day, it's just I think his playing was awesome before his accident

At 1:15 you hear an excerpt from EVH's "Live without a net" solo, although much faster and not tapped. At 3:45 you hear an excerpt scarily similar to Nuno Bettencourt's "Flite of the wounded bumble bee" without the delay Nuno used. Also scary fast. Amazing talent, undeniable influence.

Just thought of this solo, because I was listening to and interview with the egotistical dipshit EVH circa 1985. They asked him "eddie, are the any guitarists out there who have caught your attention lately that you think are great?" The pathetic moron replied "NO"! NO???? In 1985???? Talk about making a fool of yourself.

I like Yngwie a lot, but he has always been a Blackmore wannabee in both playing style and mannerisms; this is pretty slick, all the same.
