The entire tone of III is so different. Every time I hear it I can't get around it. It's really unusual. III misses the mark most of the time, but there are highlights and I also stand by One I Want. The last 90 seconds in particular are exceptional.

It's not really a bad album, but then again, it isn't a great album either. The songs are ok the first few times you hear them, in my opinion, but then after a while you kind of get tired of listening to them, especially with the unnatural voice Gary was forced to sing them with. I guess it can be called "bad" because it doesn't really compare with any of the other albums Van Halen has put out, where you can listen to each song a thousand times without getting tired of listening to it.

I think Van Halen needs to put a box set out with the rare stuff and some songs from this album cause there was some good tunes on it. I remember every morning getting up for school I was a senior in high school and listening to without you before i would leave to go to school.
