Been giving this VH3 stuff a chance, and some of the stuff honestly is VERY GOOD. This song, Josephina, From Afar, Without You, etc. Great stuff. I also notice that the sound on the cassette (sounds weird I know) actually has better sound.. Any thoughts to this?

Just saw Extreme's 25th Anniversary show of Pornograffiti. Great show! Made me pull this CD out to kinda give it another shot, and this song is pretty good. Not my favorite Van Halen album, but the worst either. The Music is amazing Van Halen. I just think people get into a comfort zone with their favorite vocalist from a famous band like Van Halen.

Sorry, but this sounds like a local attempt at an eighties van halen copy band. Nothing original about it, just that same Hagar era chorus infested guitar sound with Cherone trying to be someone he's not. Ugh...and some of the other songs on this album were Van halen trying to be someone they're not. Funky metal is not van halen. Van Halen shouldn't try to be extreme....ever. Thank God Dave came back.

Always thought Gary Cherone was totally dissed by everybody, and was the singer at the absolute wrong time for Van H---- choose your name. With Sammy, one of the best singers in rock. Dave is NOT a singer - he's a showman. The path they chose.
