Bill, I'm sorry, I don't even remember posting that comment, however, if you look me up on YouTube you're going to find I am already a musician and probably just wish famous people would learn a song before they record it. I love Dolly Parton, I meant no disrespect.

njbubba27,hate to disagree with your opinion that Dolly's version of 'Traveler's Prayer' was not up to her standards--this song, as well as the rest of 'The Grass is Blue' is flawless, imo.

Does nobody know this was a cover song written by Billy Joel and on his 2nd album Piano Man?

My all-time favorite song of hers, far above any of her hits. This takes it back to where she came from.

I saw her perform this song on her "Hello, Dolly!" tour at the American Airlines Center in 200-something in Dallas. I took my best friend (at the time) Angela, to the concert, and tickets were $75 each for a cheap seat. The concert was fantastic, though, and the opening act was the Grascals! Still, even after the Grascals performed, they still told us it was gonna be half an hour until Dolly would appear onstage.

Im a young guy and must admit i listen to pop and hip hop more than anything, but I like all kinds of music. I heard Dolly Parton sing this song at the Grammys a few years ago, and I remembered most of the words, but didnt know the name of the song. Its an amazing song, and Dolly Parton is amazing... thanks for posting!
