Chet plays banjo and sings with Dolly.

At the start, he briefly plays "Hello Dolly" on the guitar. The real title of the first duet song is "Long Journey Home", a traditional bluegrass number. The best known versions are by the Stanley Brothers and Rose Maddox. Then, the "cornbread" lines are from "Lonesome Road Blues" (Bill Monroe). And finally, there is Foggy Mountain Top ( Earl Scruggs).

Just great! A master instrumentalist showing of some banjo skills while Dolly is.. simply Dolly, doing what she has always done best Charming the birds of the trees. She is a natural. Many thanks for this posting.

Dolly's guitar has to be in an open tuning so you can make full chords with one finger, its amazing how she can play at all with those nails!

Dolly's always flirted with the "plastic" side of show business, where those who actually depended too much on props or baffled us with too much glitter, smoke and mirrors in that plastic world eventually just lost touch with more than reality it seems at times. She's risen above it though...every time. She most definitely is "the real deal."

Chet sings harmony! So much for the myth that he's tonedeaf.

Nothing but humility and grace from them both--towards each other and all the world who would see this later. Wonderful, thanks for posting.

this is how country or bluegrass music should be made - folks sitting around singing and playing for the sheer enjoyment.

Chet Atkins reminds me of Leonard Nimoy for some reason.
