On this day in 1963 {August 31st} "My Boyfriend's Back' by the Angels reached #1 {for 3 weeks} on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; it had entered the Top 100 on August 3rd and spent 14 weeks on the chart. Interestedly enough; on this very same day another all-girl trio entered the Top 100, The Ronettes, the song was "Be My Baby", and it reached #2 {for 3 weeks} & stayed on the Top 100 for 13 weeks. R.I.P. to Barbara Allbut Brown {Angels, 1941 - 2012} & Estelle Bennett {Ronettes, {1941 - 2009}
