This song makes it official: Lennon and McCartney needed their rivalry in order to perform good music.

I'm just surprised that they managed to stretch this one out to four and a half minutes. It could have used some screaming Yoko here and there to punctuate the monotony, however - or was John beating her at this time?

Wether you like or dislike this song, Lennon thought is was worth recording it. And listening to the near finished product, it was considerd to be released on the Rock and Roll album. It didn't make the cut. Now it's a rarity we can enjoy and we can only guess what the reasons were for Lennon to record it.I think it's a nice enough song, but I can understand why it wasn't released in 1975 and why some people don't like it.

You need the Ronettes , The 3 Degrees, and Martha Reeves and I bet you we can pull some Degrees, Vandellas , and Ronettes

Spector's created a parody of his sound here. This is probably when his brain began to rot and he became murderous.

Ellie Greenwich's slow cover version of her own song is much better.
