Bennett died of colon cancer aged 67 in Englewood, New Jersey. Her body was discovered on February 11, 2009.[1] A week after her death it was revealed that she had suffered from anorexia nervosa and schizophrenia in the years after the Ronettes break up and that later on she had been homeless in New York.[1][7] Phil Spector isn't doing too well either. :)

Kiko Man, thanks for informing us that you are "educated", credentialed, and politically savvy. Just because you went to school, only proves, that you were registered, but doesn't prove your scholastic attributes. Unless , of course, you majored in "under the influence of your my affluence". Take a tip, my man, and go and " take yo drama to yo mama". No one wants to hear your pompous opinions on a rock & roll, sight, unless, of course, Gerry Fallwell , is listening from his pulpit somewhere out there in space.

Its great to see this footage of "The Ronettes" from Washington Heights, NYC (Rock & Roll hall of fame 2007) back when they were making hit records and were at the top of the charts all across america, but also sad because time passes and things change. In my opinion they were the best of the 1960's, the look, the sound, the songs, the whole package. All "The Ronettes" were pretty and had a great look but Estelle was very beautiful and could sing. Very sad that her illness really held her back and that she really could not continue in the music industry, besides Phil Spector w/all his money and power did not help their situation at all. Estelle you were and are beautiful, thank you for the music and thank you for the memories...Rest in Peace.........

The didn't tour with The Beatles .... The Beatles toured with them. The Ronettes captivated the Free World in the early 60s.

Imagine being a young black woman in the racist America era of 1950-60 and have such a talent and sing like an angle and wipe the racists faces on dirt with your beauty, grace and talent. Love it!
