One of the classical videos by The Monkees.

I re-upped cause it simply vanished last time I looked for it.

I hope everyone enjoy the song.

There are two versions of this song, and this is different from the one in the record. Maybe older version.

Yeah, Mickey may not have agreed, but he is still my favorite Monkee. Then Peter, then Mike, and last Davy. May he rest in peace. I am still somewhat saddened by his passing. I never liked an oldies band and show like the Monkees.

As for Straw Dogs, I remember the movie being released but i must not have seen it as I would have DEFINITELY remembered THAT song in it. It's one of my top 5 Monkee favs! BRILLIANT! I routinely play it full blast! LOL! Aways wanted to hear that one live. Mickey didn't go for it at the reunion show.

ahhh! So nice to hear from you again! Afraid my life has been engulfed in pretty depressing drama. started a response to your email and then everything went nuts (family drama and w/that "friend" i mentioned, from rotten to unbelievably cruel and sad... Just checked my drafts and realized i never actually sent the email to you. Forgive me, please...

Have you seen the movie Straw Dogs? The Monkees' song "Going Down" is played at the beginning when they are driving. Great movie; just has some jacked up parts.

I am very apologetic for your previous misfortune, but trust me, you are not alone. Your sustained misfortune bears sympathy. I will email you in a bit.

Of course, Mike Nesmith would never do that because he's heir to the White Out fortune, and presumably has a soul and a beating heart. But trust me, email me... it's a story that any GenXer will appreciate, made esp. ironic as the two I am speaking of were original gender-bending members of the "New Romantics." I'm considering writing a book (I'm a writer by profession): Think "My Week With Marilyn" was fascinating? Try "Two Years With Maz"... I'd like your thoughts. If you are interested...

Would be as if Mike Nesmith became my closest friend then conned me out of every dime I had and threw me under a bus. Hey, email me instead: [email protected]. xox

hmmm.... Well THAT'S nice to hear! LoL! I was more into New Wave, I'm afraid, tho Poison, Ratt, Twisted Sister, Night Ranger, etc. will always hold special places in my heart. Not to mention the GREAT Bon Jovi. Just been "blitzed" by my 80s idol and his bestest friend, in a big way. Son of a bitch (the bestest friend) jumped off my 14-year-old wall, entered my adult life, screwed me out of every penny I own, and dumped me. How's THAT for a story?

Yes, likewise. I grew up in the 80s, and I loved every moment in music of that decade. You're not old; just mature like me. Hair Metal, G.I. Joe, the real Transformers, and the Monkees were/are my fetishes.

I thought you might enjoy this one: You're not the kind of girl to tell your mother The kind of company you keep I never told you not to love no other You must of dreamed it in your sleep You're not the kind of girl to tell your mother The kind of company you keep I never told you not to love no other You must of dreamed it in your sleep left out in the rain The day after Santa came You're not the only cherry delight that was left out in the night And gave up without a fight

k... let's see if i remember this: "You're not the only cuddly toy, ever enjoyed, by any boy; You're not the only choo-choo train, left out in the rain, the day after summer came. You're not the only cherry delight, won (is that right?) in the night, who gave up without a fight. You're not the only cuddly toy who was ever enjoyed, by any boy. naa-naanaanaaaaa nananaaaaaa nuhunduhduh... " Right, remember the chorus... now what the hell was the rest of the song???
