Perhaps sound isn't the best here. But note the bassline and the perfect beat of that snare, the guitar intro and solo, the passionate vocals. This is a world-class band, perhaps the most underrated english rock band ever.

Agreed. Dave (The Edge) makes the most of his limited musicianship (and I mean that as a compliment), and has been able to write a number of great songs ("New Year's Day" still floors me), but Jamie is a much more accomplished guitarist. Both have a really percussive style though, and in that sense they are similar. Having seen The Fixx live in 1992, I can attest that Jamie is a hell of a guitar player. Extremely creative. And calling The Fixx a "U2 knock-off band" is simply ignorant.
