I wish they put more energy into the "Further I Fall" part. That is my favorite part of the song.

Makes me sad I never got to see the Fixx in a live concert back in the day.......Damn parents and their 50's and 60's rock ideals.

One of the great, underrated bands from the 80's. The "real deal". I have this (extended version) on my i-pod, and listen to it often (my i-pod library is very eclectic, all kinds of genres). This is a great live performance. No lip-synch here. Cy's antics crack me up sometimes! 0:31 lol.

For the first time in my life! I got into The Fixx over here in New Zealand when a local covers band called 'The Vision' completely nailed 'Stand or Fall' and 'Lost Planes' when they played at a local watering hole called 'The Whitehouse Lounge Bar' in those wicked '80s. A friend of mine gave me the LP (vinyl) 'Reach The Beach' for my 20th birthday in 1983 (Nov). I played that LP until the needle on my turntable wore out and I knew every single lyric off by heart. 'One thing leads to another'..

it's all about money.....unfortunately...and the Fixx were all about art....very rarely a band can do both, be artsy and popular...but then, we wouldn't be able to think and talk about the awesomeness of The Fixx....for you and me, it aint about the money, its about the music.....and The Fixx were the fix....cheers.

I KNOW! I'm telling you as a composer myself, that synth sound to me is the most amazing sound ever made. It has an anger and power to it, futuristic even today, just blows my mind how he could do that back then. If there was an award for the most awesome Synth sound ever created, he would win it. I think I read that it was too difficult to sync it live. I'm sure today a number of keys with samples of it played on beat would work.

Saw them at their zenith in the 80's when all of this was relevant back then. Nice live track. Met them at X-fest in Tijuana as well as at several other small shows around San Diego when they came through town. It would be great to see them live again when they pass through here in Portland.

Cause the people who own the music industry now DON'T want you to discover bands like this. They want you to listen to their trendy, flavor-of-the-month acts they peddle as "music" nowadays. REAL bands like The Fixx, making music with substance and not primarily for money, are not profitable in today's music industry. You have taken a step towards "breaking free" from the "mainstream music industry" BUT, there are many more excellent bands like The Fixx out there to be found... Keep searching..

I saw The Fixx last month. They opened with Deeper and Deeper, and totally nailed it. Such a great band.
