I think he means he thinks it sounds like Nights in White Satin, which implies the Moody blues stole the tune. I've heard that before, but I don't really get the comparison. This melody is much prettier with the minor chords.

Fine tribute. Remastering hasn't been kind to all the Byrds songs, putting too much force on the instruments. This (from your LP?) has a nice warm vocal prominence and lovely balance. From an LP? See also The World Turns All Around Her. Such sweet songs!
