Down below on Baker Street

Lay your head back

On this field of dreams

And close your eyes

There's a few that find love

On Sundays down by the sea

And they wash clean like angels

High above the waves so free

I have no words to say to you

I have no dream to take you to

I have no ring for you to kiss

Baby, all I have is this

Pray for grace

Keep the faith

Walk on down the road

Wait for me, look for love

Are you fearless, reckless

Homeless and all alone

Can you make love, heal things

Make my heart go wild again

*I have no words to say to you

I have no dream to take you to

I have no ring for you to kiss

Baby, all I have is this

I have no way to hold you now

I have no time to show you how

I have no gold, nothing to risk

Baby, all I have is this

And she says

It doesn't matter anymore

There's a few that find love

On Sundays down by the sea

And they wash clean

Like angels' wings

High above the waves so free

(*Repeat)

All I have is on my sleeve

All I want is your sweet love, baby

All I saw was open space

Walk down the road

Fearless, fearless

All I have is this

My favorite Rod Stewart song ever followed by Broken Arrow, so sad that they are not widely known. Goose bumps a fold now, thank you !!!!

This" is Rod Stewart's best song. In the city of Bridgeport there is a park, Seaside Park, which the song, "This" describes.

Whoever disliked this video is obviously a Justin Bieber fan and doesn't know what music is supposed to sound like

It was a number one hit in the late 80's I think in that year . people don't know what real love is any more . We have to many gold diggers .

I suppose; I hear what yur're saying, however, I'm a musician that recognizes a special song and had to compliment it so! Whom deserves a "knighthood" or not is probably all about politics: Total turnoff!

Got it .... thanks. There should be a petition to knight Stewart!

That is the magic of genius.. How someone Like Sir McCartney pumps out a Helter Skelter and then a "My Love" . I am amazed why Rod just got a Commander of the Order of the British Empire but Elton John, Tom Jones, Cliff Richard were fully knighted while Bowie refused a Knighthood ! Body of work perhaps McCartney would top Stewart but lord , if Rod is not worthy of a Knighthood ! Perhaps because he abandoned the UK in favor of the USA.

Is it listed in "Spanner" as "This" ?... can not find the full title on any release . Love the tender music and flawless voice , with the Spector like orchestration. If I decide to marry "again" (#4) this is the song!

Gawd damn ... goose bumps . Had never heard this song ( I am ashamed ) . KIndda got stuck in early Stewart and pretty much stopped listening to new material to him after "Downtown train" . This is pure perfection better vocals than "Broken Arrow" - and that's saying something -
