There used to be a live acoustic version of this song somewhere on youtube. Life is not the same without it.

A favorite for sure.... love Pete Shelley, and loved seeing the Buzzcocks in 2009.

Try early Buzzcocks. Song is called 16 again. It's true early punk

Pete Shelley redid the song in '89, is that the version you're thinking of?

@allthebest501 You ask why music is so boring now? It's because of the record company owners and the grand zionist plan to destroy all art and humanity. You only need to see their politics and their destruction of all art to see this. They are destroyers of nations and humanity

I LOVED this song when it came out in the early 80s. His voice sounds great live. Thank you for posting.

Hi, ANDREWMUZAK. I'm fairly sure that it was PETER Shelley who recorded "Love me, Love my dog," and PETE Shelley who was in the Buzzcocks. Ergo, hawkeyepierce12 is right. I can see why this mistake gets made, though. Back to the song - I remember this from the 90s or so - a great, archetypically English minor classic, with consciousness-raising as an added bonus to its great musicality (pretentious - moi? :-))

"And I think of your eyes in the dark and I see the star. And I look to the light and I might wonder right where you are."

I love this version. I watched the original version before this one and I was thinking I would love to hear this with a stronger guitar. simple wishes do come true.

Pete Shelley & The Buzzcocks are boring, dull and mindless. Only good thing in the Buzzcocks was Howard Devoto, who left the band and formed Brilliant band Magazine(Fortunately):)
