This song is about John and paul listen carefully to the words. Since you've gone its never right they go on lonely nights come on home and make it right. Why would paul be lonely without a lamb, and how did two rights make a wrong since you've gone I never know I go on but I miss you so in my heart I feel the pain keeps coming back again. Paul's heart was full of pain when John left. This is my belived Paul loved John with all his heart and soul up to now that he is gone.

I was in the Navy serving with the marines (Hospital Corpsman ) when I bought "Red Rose Speedway" at the local base exchange. This is my favorite song from that album. Truly great with a wonderful melody. This song perfectly expresses yearning much like "Girl" by John. The Beatles were such masters whether on their own or as a group. We will never see their like again.

1973 - what a year for albums. McCartney released this one and then did Band on the Run. I just love this song. Reminds me of my little lamb taken from me in 1980. Sometimes Paul is over-sentimental, but he is spot-on in this song.
