Never forget buying Men From Earth on glorious vinyl in a bargain bin of my local department store (El Corte Inglés) for a mere 20 pesetas...¡1977!, my 16 candles in a dream-like haze of Country-rock and The Beatles, with The Jam and The Buzzcocks close to invade my brain...This fantastic tune has been since a favorite of mine on par with You Know Like I Know, If I Only Knew, Mr. Powell, Moon Is On The Rise, Spaceship Orion, Jackie Blue, Leatherwood... Man, oh man, how relevant these lyrics are today. From a song written 35 years ago!! "There are people preaching their gods to me"... Larry Lee, you are so very underrated as a songwriter and as a singer, too. "I think it's only fair that we should all be asked to share"...indeed.
