Lyrics & Information

This is taken from the brilliant '13' album suprisingly released in 1997. It has to be one of my favourite all time love songs. Simple and wonderful and reminds me of times gone by.

Lyrics :-

She combs her hair by the light we share

From that little lamp by the door

I read my antique rhymes for her as she

Sits by me on the floor

And as long as this goes on

There'll be love in every song, we sing

I see a change in the dead of night like the

Changin' light of the moon

An echo heard, a glimpse, a word and her

Shadow crosses the room

And as long as this goes on

There'll be love in every song, we sing

[Chorus]

There'll be love

All the love that we need

If it's true

[Guitar Solo]

I give her love and a place to dream and she

Gives me what's in her heart

We sleep alone in this dream we've made and the

Rain beats down in the dark

And as long as we can sing

There'll be love in everything, we do

[Chorus]x2

If it's true, if it's true

If it's true, if it's true

[Guitar Outro]

Oooooooh

Oooooooh

Oooooooh

(Thanks again BlueShark45 buddy!)

"13" was a surprise to everyone. But once you listen, you realize it's the same incredible genius always provided by The Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Listening to this song is so therapeutic. Problems slip away. True peace. Part of the OMD's genius was a mix of hillbilly bluegrass and rockabilly with hippie coolness and the most lush, beautiful ballads every written. Thanks for the music guys. Don't stop.

Great song. Simply great. I don't know how the Daredevils weren't so much more commercially successful. They made such beautiful music.
