How can anyone not see how wonderful this is? As challenging today as it was back in 72/73! God awful Rock N' Roll

Well I've probably, no easily, spent an accumulative week of my life reading/watching Pistols interviews, especially Steve Jones. But if you are just asking about the "garbage" of Matlock playing guitar, the statement that was SO rash it required a "NUMNUTS" thrown my way, just google "Glen Matlock & The Philistines" for a start. Just about everything else I said came from one SteveJones interview or another. Usually this is all useless information but then some blowhard comes around and... well

Wow, that must really mean something coming from an actual moron. Yeah, sorry, but you are clueless. Sure, Matlock was put on bass by Mclaren, who luckily saw something in Steve Jones, but Glen could already play guitar and was pretty much the only member of the band who already knew an instrument. He would frequently irritate Jones by trying to teach him to play new chords... I could go on for a week with more facts, but your small minded half-sentence comments are not worth my energy or time.

East Bay Ray, Greg Ginn, Dr. Know - these guys are far more interesting than Clapton, Vai, Satriani etc. --the crowd was there to see other bands obviously. Midnight special had 5 to 10 performances per show(I think).

@JohnnyAshetonBator yeah, and the electric bass is a type of...? Also the reason I said that is because unlike the rest of the pistols, or most punks, Matlock already new how to play guitar before forming a band, quite well actually, Rotten has repeatedly joked that was the reason he was fired, at least I think he was joking. Anyways it's been over 35 years since he left the Sex Pistols, he's played lead plenty in that time. Oh ya and Walter Lure belongs on the list as well.

@TimeCelt Mick Jones and Steve Jones weren't too bad. Just my opinion so don't yell at me.

Thunders might be the only punk ever who could actually play the guitar, aside from maybe Glenn Matlock.
