good energy in this version. I like the modulation at the tail end extending into No One Together

saw them at the Santa Monica civic center '76' then up to the last tour with Kerry, they are one of the most progressive bands ever!

Saw them for the fist time on this tour--Dec. 5th 1980, Lakeland FL!! They were on fire and the crowd was berserk!! Those were the days

Performance was the day after John Lennon's murder; must have been a somber audience....

I loved this performance. The ease that Walsh was singing with at this time is amazing....Great song! Great performance! Great Band!

I'm 47 and I was at that Allen Fieldhouse show, with Loverboy opening. Remember when KS came out for an encore and played the chords to Turn Me Loose! I remember the encores. I'm glad to see some of these AudioVisions tunes live again. I forgot how much I liked them during my 1st yr at KSU.

i just had to add this, eric martin of mr. big once told me, he thinks he met god at a kansas show in 80, as he was leaving the show a man with a grey beard walked up out of no where, and told him they will be calling your name soon! he laughed it off! when he got the call to join mr. big, carry on was playing on the radio! and steve moorse, and kerry livgren were 2 of paul gilberts guitar heros! there really is somthing special about this band!

lil did we know that night would be the last, im telling you all it was the greatest show of there carears, and again no footage of history! its sad because i wish every one could have seen them at the top of there game in there home town, maybe some miricle out of nowhere will bring us back what we lost, but the memories are all that matters and ive met teens whos best musical experience in there young lives is our old buddies still pounding the bricks!

the truth is the tapes are in very bad shape brad lentz told me back in 91, he didnt know if any of the video was salvageable, and its just part of the curse, audio visions was there greatest tour, it started with them being the first rock band to play in communist china, yet no footage remains of this historic moment! the last show, was a reschedule back home in lawerence, we got them back for 3 songs no one wanted to go home that night, home crowds were special shows!

I think that part of the problem here is the recording coming from the mixing console pre processing which always sounds kind of dead and well "lackluster"! Couple that with the rigors of a grinding tour schedule and the well known by then growing gap between Livgren and Walsh and what you get is just an O.K. performance!I don't see the fire or the hunger here even though they all were at the top of their games!

cool dude. i keep thinking of " just how it feels" from walsh. a song about his grandparents. how more sincere can he be. wish someone would put it on you tube. hard to find.

I agree. People don't realize how rare a voice like that is. Together, Walsh & Livgren were GOLD, unfortunately, they couldn't see eye to eye, which led to the breakup. This is a fun song, just not deep & meaningful. Kind of like the musical equivalent of a snack, versus a 6-course meal. But can you blame Walsh, wanting to write but being constantly outshadowed by Livgren? Who could ever compare though. Livgren's inspiration came from a place most can't even imagine.
