On one hand, I wish John Cale got more recognition and appreciation. But on the other, I love that he's like a special musical treat that few know about (besides his "Hallelujah" cover, AKA "That song from Shrek!") so when you do meet someone who is also a fan of him, it's even more of a treat.. and you know they have great taste in music. :) He has such a way with words. Not just what he writes lyrically, but in his phrasing and pronunciations..

He makes the Welsh voices sound wonderful (not bloody Tom Jones, famously asked by Prince Philip; " Do you gargle with marbles?"),as I might have if I hadn't been relocated from Swansea, as a child. This a gem trapped in a timeless cavern of the mind.
