Listen to what she says. In the movie she sings in character, but she liked the song so much she's singing it in her own voice and with her own spin.

Actually if she were singing "in character" she would have done the song in the original version which she did not. Look up the original version. It's NOTHING like June Carter Cash or Johnny Cash's version....What's "in character" about that?? It's not even the same song.

Actually, she says in the movie she sings in character. Here she is singing just as she normally sounds. That being said, I'm not sure what the other guy is talking about, she sounds just as amazing as she always has.
