First of all....I think Jewel kept up with Beyonce perfectly fine. Yes, Beyonce was more active with movements but she's Beyonce. Jewel's voice was amazing next to Bey's and she did a great job. Haters.

People complaining about Jewel being stiff, and that's what I love about her ways, like I'm gorgeous and I know it, don't need to shake my butt to prove anything or to be sexy (check out her video from "Jupiter" and "This Way", in both she is incredible hot without being cheap and vulgar at all). We actually feel a kind of inside humor and irony in her when she has to play that "sexy" type, we can see it on her video from "Intuition".I like Beyonce as well, but I love Jewel. Just because they are singing together doesn't mean we have to make a duel out of it. Both are great singers. Beyonce is also a great dancer, plus Jewel is also an extraordinary songwriter.

We have to really appreciate Jewel for attempting this song with Beyoncé which is absolutely not her comfort zone. Jewel is more a relaxed, folk type of an artist. Beyoncé we know is both a wonderful singer , performer and crowd puller and she did exactly that here too. Nevertheless Beyoncé made sure that she lower down a little bit from her regular all out power packed performance for 'Proud Mary'. They both maintained their identities throughout this performance. I prefer Jewel. She´s soulful and knows how to deliver a song and its message. Beyonce I watch when I need to be entertained. She´s not a true artist in my eyes.

Both great singers, Jewel is not the dancer type though, still to this day I cannot believe Jewel tried her hand at this type of act. To bad it did not pay off..

Beyonce obviously slayed this song but it is exactly what her voice is made for. Jewel is much more laid back and folk type of artist so you have to give her credit for even attempting a song that is so out of her comfort zone.
