An orsum track from the original Jeff Beck Group. This is on their debut album, Truth. A great example of the late '60s British Blues Rock.

Lyrics:

(Over here)

Let me love you baby,

You're drivin' my poor heart crazy.

Let me love you baby,

You're drivin' my poor heart crazy.

When I'm with you woman,

My whole life seems so hazy.

(Ah, don't you know that)

Baby, when you walk,

You shake just like a willow tree?

(Ah, yes you do, darlin', every time I see ya. Oh!)

Baby, when you walk you know what?

You shake just like a willow tree.

(Know, I know, I know, I know.)

Ooh-ee baby, you sure look so good to me.

(Come on babe ... Yes, I know it ... Yeah)

Baby when you walk,

You shake like a willow tree.

(You oughta know that by now.)

Baby when you walk,

You shake like a willow tree.

And ooh-ee baby, you sure look so good to me.

(Easy with this one)

Let me love you baby,

Love you baby.

Know, I know, I know.

Let me love you baby.

Ah you let me love you ... What you got.

Let me love you baby.

Love you baby.

Any old way you choose it.

I don't mind what time you call, (Ah, ah, yeah)

You're drivin' my poor heart crazy.

Let me love you baby.

Love you baby.

Early in the mornin' time.

Later in the evenin'.

Let me love you baby,

You're drivin' my poor heart ... crazy.

Cool version of this song, Beck is superb. Truth is an excellent album- but not a great one. I agree with the post about sound production. It's obviously true that Page was influenced by Truth, which was very gutsy and innovative. But Zeppelin I sounds a lot better. Page's production is superb, far superior to Truth in that way. And there are many moments of magic and brilliance in Zep 1, which there aren't many of in Truth. Check out You Shook Me, which is on both these albums. The Zep version is just so well put together, and Jimmy's solo is very intense. The version on Truth is good, but the band sounds like a very good garage or excellent band next to Zeppelin.

Not at all hard to see where the inspiration for Zeppelin's debut album come from.

Heard them do this live at Fillmore East. Hadn't heard of Rod Stewart. I was really lucky to hear that concert. Beck, Stewart, Wood, Nicky Hopkins, Mickey Waller. THE lineup!

Most of Led Zeppelin's early stuff was stolen from great American bluesmen like Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters. Zep never gave them their due. Willie successfully sued them. Be sure to pass that on...

That's Jeff singing at 1:03 for that one verse, with Rod answering right?
