As I listen to this song, I get the feeling that what Derek Shulman may have been saying in this song is that all of the dreams that the band had wanted to achieve had turned to nightmares now, and that it was time to get a lifting. Sort of like something new. Unfortunately, that was true. What the record execs wanted from the band was banal and commercial. The bands progressive ideas for songs were cast aside for the commercial aspect of a hit record. Genesis won out the issue with the song, "Stay with me". A nice song but, nothing to challenge the mind in any way. It was crooner music, which Phil Collins started doing more and more of. Gentle Giant weren't into the overblown romanticism of rock music. The sadness of this song is very depressing because, it ends one era and makes another begin.

Always a creative band, even in this more lightweight format. What a way to end it all!

It reminds me of some Blue Oyster Cult songs. Not their best album but still a good one. Even their pop rock albums are pretty good!

Shameful album of such incredible prog band and one of the very top creative speaking band from the 70's that made this very weak album. Well ElP and Yes Did it as well. Love beach? YEs Tomato? However Tomato was better than these 3, but it was a horrible album compare with their past albums as this album by GG. Thank to God that Rush and Pink Floyd were making still amazing great albums.

Doesn't begin to compare with their immortal 'Vertigo' period when they were utterly unique. This is nice but not representative of their inventiveness and brilliance.
