When taken on its own it's a pretty good pop record, when taken as an LP from it's year it's a pretty good LP. When compared to the LP's being released by the likes of Yes, and ELP around this time, it is very good LP. It is only a disappointing LP when compared to the rest of the LP's that Gentle Giant released. It is way better than I remembered it. It's a great shame prog went through the loss of confidence in the style, but we should blame the record companies, not the band.

This album (and the miserable "Giant for a Day") is NOT Gentle Giant in the first place, this is a sellout. It wasn't made from the HEART but out of commercial pressure and record company's greed. This is not what they wanted to make, simple as that. OH please! It's a lousy album, whether it is from Gentle Giant or anybody else. They were not good making "plebeian" music.

@Lapatusia Did you just go from video to video to trash every track on this album? I mean, I get that this album doesn't hold up like the rest of their discography...but damn, I never realized people CARED so much about that fact!

Whether or not they 'stooped' to get commercial success or abandoned their progressive rock status or ideals, I don't care! I am still a Gentle Giant fan! And this music stands as their music from that time, whether you like it or not... If you judge it against the other music (popular or any genre for that matter) from that time, in many ways, this, and their earlier stuff is still better! Have a good day

@Lapatusia you are the embarrasment.Even though its more commercial fpr gentle giants standards its still damm good and blows away most other bands that are out there nowadays

Underrated?!?!? This album is an embarrassment for Gentle Giant and his fans!!! At least is a tiny bit better than "Giant for a Day" (their lowest point in their commercial success pursuit), but that's not much to say.
