Thanks, Rockstarcrane, for the compliments, but I'm telling you it's live off the board. In the house we also use an Eventide Harmonizer on the vocals, plus on almost every song we double the lead vocal, like on I Get and Safari, I double the bass player, and on Fun and Cal Girls, he doubles me, etc. We've been singing together for 48 years and have gotten pretty good at mimicking each other. On top that I play all the bkgnd harmonies on the keys. Now you know all our secrets. Don't tell.

Sorry, but after 40+ years as a producer/engineer, I know what I am hearing. A BBE enhancer does NOT simulate double-tracking and I hear plenty of that. I am well aware of PDRR's reputation as one of the premier corporate acts in the country. Your stable of musicians includes some very well-known people. I don't understand why groups put stuff up on You-Tube insisting that it is totally live when it is not. You guys are good enough without the gimmicks.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this was recorded in 2 track stereo right off the sound board. Then we took the audio track and adjusted the eq, added more bass to the mix (which is so loud on stage that there's not much of it in the PA mix), ran it thru a BBE enhancer, added some verb, and synced it back up to the video (the sync is a little off here for some reason). Maybe you should come see us live sometime, and see for yourself.

I have to admit that I was unfamiliar with Papa Doo Run Run until just recently. Fantastic. The voices are as good "now", as the Beach Boys were "then". Will look around for more!

Come see us LIVE on the beach in Santa Cruz (where this video was filmed). Friday, August 20. 6:30 and 8:30 PM. Get there early for a good spot in the sand, and bring a jacket - it's gets cold at night.

Not exactly a "tribute band". We've got 10 albums out, 3 gold records, and a Grammy nomination. Plus we've all played WITH the Beach Boys. One of our guys was in the BBs for 10 years and another for 20. We don't try to act or dress like the BBs, we just do their songs. We're known for sounding like the them, but BBs songs are only about 1/3 of what we do. We also sound like Frankie Valli, the Beatles, Doobies, Creedence, and other classic rock acts. More like a tribute to the 60's.
