In the 1950 film musical, "Three Little Words", Debbie Reynolds had a small role playing Kane and lip-synced to a re-recording of the song by Helen made for the film. Marilyn Monroe sang the song in "Some Like It Hot".

As an authour, I'm just throwing out there that one person is usually never the inspiration for a character. One person can have a big majourity of influence, but many people are used.
