Florence Ballard could sing and blow notes everywhere she just didn't have a commercial marketing voice like a lot of these singers do today so I wish folks would stop saying that she can't sing as well as Diana even Diana knew Florence was the most sanging of the group

tamla motown rarely got it wrong....on this evidence, diana ross was the right choice to sing lead in the supremes. bottom line...the supremes became the world`s greatest female combo, with a lead singer who was vivacious, charming, pencil thin and could sing all the hits with a very distinctive, tuneful voice..they were also blessed with talented backing singers, like mary wilson, florence ballard, cindy birdsong....they had loads of hits and fans....where did it all go wrong?.....it didn`t.
