Here is a brief description of some of the unique bamboo flutes I make, and which YOU can adopt! This is a 4-hole Bass Meditation Flute in B minor pentatonic scale. (In the video I mistakenly say C#, but it really is in B!)

Prices vary for each piece, depending on bamboo specimen rarity, finish, size, and playability. Basic beginner flutes can be $20 - $30 while large Bass Flutes can be $80 - $100 - $120 up to $150 for really nice ones -- all very affordable!

My other models include Bass Meditation Flutes, Raga Flutes (tuned to East Indian "Ragas" or modal scales), Panpipes, and Bamboo Birdcalls of all sorts. I also make some "regular" 6-hole diatonic flutes (Do-Re-Mi), but specialize in the extremes of bass flutes and killer piccolos, and every size in between.

P.S. I have many CDs available, and you can hear some at www.MySpace.com/dassmusic

Have fun! Hope to hear from ya!

More like a double bass. It's an octave lower than my bass in B!

That would be incredible! What would you charge for that?

"budging" is NOT the issue -- there is no "formula" to true art, it can only be created by Experience... hey I can make your friend a flute ONE OCTAVE BELOW Irish low D whistle... just imagine that blowing out your subwoofers...

Not budging huh? :) I understand They sound amazing. Is guy in my band plays a low D Irish whistle. I'd love to get him one of yours

I like to put the "hikes" where they need to be in order to produce the notes I desire...

actually, these Bass Flutes take LESS air than smaller flutes, because the air column inside is moving much slower... to play them is more like just BREATHING instead of BLOWING... make sense? it's just physics and aerodynamics...

Beautiful sound! Does this take more air and better breath control than a smaller flute?
