This is one of my favorite Elton B-Sides because 1. he's saying something of lyrical weight and 2. the music and band kick ass!

Such a great song. I wish it made it on the "21 At 33" album.

Sounds more like a song from 21 at 33 than Victim of love album

Be surprised. Bernie did write the lyrics.

Have you heard 'Victim of Love?', This is light years ahead of 'Spotlight'..my God. How could Elton actually fuck up Johnny B. Goode? It's still a mystery. Like Rick James said, "Cocaine is a hell of a drug."

You're right. Sounds like Victim of Love....I would be very surprised if this is a Bernie lyric. Thanks for posting!

Well, I know why it was a B-side LOL! Still it's nice to hear all the scarce unknown stuff. I think a more "Tumbleweed..." type of treatment would have done the lyric some good. It just seems out of place with such an "80s" tune to it.
