"Abide With Me" is an awesomely wonderful hymn written by a minister upon hearing that the illness he was suffering from was terminal. In most cases, Elton is a very fine performer. This time, though, he simply misses the mark.

In some way or another we are all ''sinners''. Nobody has lived a perfect life and quite frankly too many people decide to use religion as a thin veil for their homophobia. Jesus Christ promoted love, peace and harmony amongst all men (and women, of course) yet people use religion as a form of righteousness when all I really is is a way of hating people just because they are different. Accept people for what they are. Gay men and women do not harm any of us in any single way, so get over it and focus on your own ''sins''.
