"Love Help Me" was one of four songs on the album the band penned themselves. Starting off with a sharp, divided guitar intro, it leads off into a psychedelic straight-forward pop-tune, with a very prominent bass line. As was also the case with "And the Address" and "One More Rainy Day", the band never played it live after 1969. An "instrumental demo" version of this song appears on the Deep Purple box set Shades 1968-1998. But according to liner notes with the box set, the band has stated that this version was originally released in error, and they had never intended for an instrumental demo to be produced.
