+Awshbuscus Cynic started in the late 80's, I believe 89? DEP started sometime in the early 90's, like 94-96 or something.

Hmm. I'm not sure which band was around first, but these guys remind me a little of The Dillinger Escape Plan. But in their own way. Kinda spacey. I like it, and it's weird, which makes it even better. Not many bands are too experimental, so it's great to know that there has been another band around doing the weird things. I like it.

Cynic members actually influenced Chuck to want to become more progressive with future Death records when they worked together on Human.

It's about reincarnation I think. And the superiority of using the superego to the ego.

Back in 1993 this was something unheard! Death-influenced Death Metal with Jazz Fusion, electronic drums and processed, robot-alien like vocals was something completely new, ahead of it's time! If you think, nowadays this is still somewhat strange to some people, imagine how it was 19 years ago!

it's sort of an F#(+11,+14) or something. To play it in standard tuning just play an F# major chord and don't bar across all of the strings to leave the b and e string open.

3:17, what is that last chord?
