@rbhoulton He was outside the venue talking to some fans with an unopened can of beer, nothing to do with being black haha. Jello Biafra gave the cops a serve with his venemous tongue the next day in the press. Very different times....

@rbhoulton Absolutey, hard to believe that not that many years ago Qld police were like the Gestapo! I was harrassed and verbally abused many, many times just for being into punk. I remember leaving Festival Hall after seeing the Dead Kennedy's to find the police had sealed off the area outside. We were marched away from the area in single file like sheep. We were like "what the fuck is this?" Everyone started baahing like sheep. Found out the day after they had arrested DK's drummer. continued.

@gemimasaliva Yeah...you had to have lived there through the "Petersen" era to understand it. But boy it generated an amazing underground music scene. There was definitely a "Brisbane sound" and song sort of personifies it.

Superb new wave album, full of light and shade; this track along with Every Day's A Holiday and Swing For The Crime excel and show that use of a sax does not necessarily bring about Kenny G style blandness.
