I bought this when it first came out. I'd heard "This Perfect Day" & bought a copy on twelve inch. (This is back in the day. I still have it somewhere, yes I'm old)I got right into "Stranded" then I remember seeing in one of the music rags "The Saint's - Prehistoric Sounds" I thought it was the second album.I'd completely missed "Eternally Yours". Looking back EY was released June1978 & PS was released in October 1978, this is in England. So when "Swing for the Crime" started I was "Whoa...WTF a brass section !"Anyway, it's one of my favourite albums as someone say's below "Masterpiece"

I had this album on vinyl back college. Wonderful stuff. Sneering, cynical and catchy as. Don't know why this album wasn't huge. Then they split up. Then one night months later I was at the Stagedoor Tavern and band called Laughing Clowns was performing "I Want to Scream"... I was never the same again.

Go the Fabulous Brass arrangement! They have learnt from and are maybe superior to the Alabama Muscle Shoals brass players. Thank You very much Australia.

Ed opened with this on Saturday night at the Clarendon. Just him and a drummer. Segued into another song so a long opening.

Just heard this song for the first time---and I'm enjoying it! I like the lyrics especially--pretty clever and interesting and fun all at the same time, like all good songs, no matter what the genre!

The sound very evocative of The Stooges and even more so the vocal delivery of Messr. Iggy Pop
