believe me,Bob,where i'm from (jersey city,nj) this received equal air play as a best seller flip side and still gets airplay on a lot of R&B oriented radio stations that set aside a few hours for "Classic Soul" songs that were hits and non-hits; most of them album cuts and "B" sides,like this song.
