My fav Spinners song. "Like basketball, 5 fouls and that was all", it was over. "In the middle of the room (center) got no time to count my sheep today", Too busy and took her for granted, let her get away. How true to life. What lyrical power! And that guitar bringing it all out. Death. This song is da bomb/killa/true death jam!

Played this when I reunited with my seventh wife. She left with my cassette seven months later. 7 is not my lucky number.

believe me,Bob,where i'm from (jersey city,nj) this received equal air play as a best seller flip side and still gets airplay on a lot of R&B oriented radio stations that set aside a few hours for "Classic Soul" songs that were hits and non-hits; most of them album cuts and "B" sides, like this song.

I think if you up from 1960-1970, They would understand. Whatever happened to the guys standing on the corner singing? Those was the days oh wow!

My childhood, "Cedar Grove" love.. RIP grandma "Jo" 1919-1981, and Sis 1963-2007.. My roots gave me the foundation and intestinal fortitude I have, and this music will forever be a part of those roots..
