I saw The Student Prince when it first came to the Theaters. It just was not the same without Mario Lanza playing the part of the Prince. His voice was used in the Sound Track. We only saw the movie once. Back in the 1950's people could stay in the theater and see the movie as often as desired. We saw all of his movies more than once each but in the Student Prince we had no desire to see it again because he was not playing the main role.

Absolutely breathtaking! I can't stop the tears from flowing. I remember listening to Mario Lanza on the radio when I was a toddler and I was only 5 years old when he died. There has never been, nor do I believe there will ever be, another magnificent voice quite like his. Angel song indeed. May he rest in peace.

Back in 1972 the retired Bishop of Nashville passed away. He was the one who gave each of us the Sacrament of Confirmation each year. All of the eight grade classes of each Parochial School in the Diocese were invited to his funeral. We each rehearsed the song I'll Walk With God at our schools and sang it jointly at his funeral service. I remember it like yesterday. It was a special moment for each of us way back then. RIP Bishop William Lawrence Adrian!

Mario Lanza died about a couple of months before I was born. I remember listening to his songs with my Mum and have loved them ever since. Everytime I hear a tenor I automatically compare them to Mario Lanza; I have yet to hear anyone who can portray so much emotion in his voice.
