Hatred comment from Labienus, about M.Lanza.+ursmue1937 I assume you are trying to say something, but I can't understand what it is? As I said, he was not an opera singer-end of discussion. As far as his personal behavior and undisciplined life. You know if he was as good as you imagine, then he deserves more damnation for wasting his talent. What I know of the man, is so unappealing that I don't have a need to get into the minutiae. I find his self-destructive, self-indulgent, addictive, conspicuous consumption lifestyle, and waste of his God given talent, actually quite repulsive. There should be a special place in hell for a man who squandered all that he had, compared to the sacrifices and dedication of so many of the real tenors who have lived.

Response to a comment by Labienus.Mr. Lanza never succumbing to the lack of discipline, he has worked hard and secured a good life his whole family. They make stupid statements, in Pagliacci the tenor has only about 20 minutes to sing, brings every mediocre singer. The big M.Lanza would also managed. They are also spiteful and envious, more discipline from you, would be good.

MrKritik77 vor 3 Wochen With all due respect to Mario Lanza, Pavarotti was greater, IMHOAnswer: +MrKritik77 Yes, at least 50 pounds. Joking aside, without relying on the toes of the great Pavarotti, Mario Lanza's voice was beyond good and evil. All tenor legends were fantastic artist. Never a tenor was more loved, hated, admired and despised, and why? He only had the most beautiful voice. For lovers M.Lanza beautiful, for Opern snobs a nuisance.

you could and perhaps you have dissed other comments on here suggesting pavarotti was a better live singer etc etc, or maybe you have already done so Ursmue

not the greatest tenor of all time at all! Very good voice but much thinner than several others

I know Lanza actually made some important tenors want to be a tenor-and it is attractive to hear himn do arias-but he was not an opera singer, but a movie tenor with a voice that recorded well using a mic-I never understand why people hold him in such high esteem-I'm assuming they are people who are really not opera lovers-he sang arias not operas

Mario Lanza ha il merito di farmi scoprire la musica lirica quando ero giovinetto.
