This wonderful song was played @ my parents wedding on April 20th, 1940.Today is their 75th wedding anniversary, and I just had to hear Mario Lanza sing it , in honor of them.........I can still hear my dear old Dad whistling it , back in the day.....Also, the song, Margie, he would sing to her. They stayed married 62 long yrs, and are now rejoicing with Jesus, and all the angels & saints, and Mr.Lanza. What a voice that man had. South Philly's own, never to be beaten, equally as fine as Mr.Sinatra....God rest all their souls Gob Bless Arlene & family xoxoxoxox

+Etnalleb I can agree that Eugene Conley is very good in his own way, but I don't think that his rendition of Because could be t taken for Lanza's. He lacks no only clarity, but also most important Lanza's features: passion, thrill and sexuality. Lanza' voice is the most recognisable of all!

Sung with so much reverence. In my younger days I sang this inspiring song for many weddings & at my wedding day dinner to my late dear husband. Mario Lanza & his glorious voice captivated us & so many others. So thankful for these videos of him for all of the world to enjoy in the years to come. With many thanks!

Although not an operatic aria, this song is a lot harder to sing than might be believed. Bocelli and many others struggle with the top A (me) not so Lanza!

This is the best rendition of the song bar-none but listen to Eugene Conley sing this piece and you would think it was Mario. I was astonished how great Conley sang this song . Conley didn't have the power and clarity of Lanza but who did ? Caruso and the other Mario that is Del Monaco might have matched Lanza in power but not in Clarity. Lanza was the Greatest Tenor Ever BECAUSE he could sing anything not just Opera.
