I have loved hearing and playing this song solo, and with others for 30 something years, along with so much good music written by all of Kansas. They are the Pinnacle.Wishbone Ash occupies a lot of my time too.

rickyon, you're right at one time STEVE WALSH was the top of the heap, unreal vocalist, and extra ordinary keyboards, his abuse of his voice paid a high price, felt real strongly by him,but none the less he is royalty in the list of master vocalists,IMO- IT IS 1 LOU GRAMM-2STEVE WALSH3PAUL RODGERS4FREDDIE MERCURY5STEVE PERRY who cares after that

Hey Brian, Kerry often worked into his music the sights and sounds of the plight of Native Americans and read of their history and their poetry and listened to their music.. That's where the words for "Dust In The Wind" came from. The 2 songs are not related except for the overall subject matter. The album cover artwork is a "sci-fi" kind of look at what could have become of Earth if "civilized" man keeps treating the planet the way he does.

It's just the artist using poetic license to depict what Earth could be like if industrialized society isn't more careful with how it treats each other and Mother Nature.

Actually, it's suppose to be an Alien Native American.
