Please correct me if I have the wrong title.

Joan Baez endures one of those dreadful introductions to stage; and quickly gets on with it!

The MC is Peter Yarrow I think or Paul Stookey. The same speaker can be found onDylan's No Direction Home album--the compendium of early stuff. This must have come from a concert where both Dylan and Baez performed. The MC is equallylong winded and pompous introducing Dylan, but you can tell that he meant what he said sincerely. He seemed kind of nervous.

Beautiful ... but she missed out several verses. When she sings 'Hold your tongue ...' we don't know who she's addressing! 'Then up and spoke the king himself, looked up with a pitiful eye. Come down, come down, Mary Hamilton, tonight you will dine with me ...'

Lovely the cultures she brings together here; Mexican, American, Scottish. As a Scot I had a tear in my eye when I heard her sing this in Glasgow.

not many folk singers could/ can sing as beautifully as Joan could sing back then, and sing songs of other cultures besides their own and still sound so authentic. And she is an excellent guitarist as well.

So great to see a bonny Mexican-American sing a Scottish song so sweetly.

why don't people introduce musicians so eloquently these days? In our fast paced world, describing art so delicately and detailed is all too often seen as lame/boring/pretentious. Am I the only one who finds this much more excting than flash and awe and punchy-meaningless words?
