If Bob Dylan wrote a song like this you'd never hear the end of how awesome it is and how great he is. This is another of Gordon's many "throw away" songs, that is, songs that garnered no attention despite being brilliant. Nobody comes close to Lightfoot's lyrical anthology.

CapnBob2010, thankyou. Again, thankyou. I LOOOOOVE this album. Shadows from 1982 was a very strong album. The Title Song is arguably my favorite Gord tune. He has written over 400 songs and not too many of them aren't incredible. How bout this line from SHADOWS: ..."there's a shadow on the moon and the waters here below do not shine the way they should and I love you just in case you didn't know...."

Shadows is one of my favorites as well. But then again, I have many favorites. The man is a genius and has written and sang so many great songs. I probably have 30 or 40 "favorites"
