It gladdens my heart to look at the comments and see people discovering Eric for the first time. The reason not everybody knows about him in mainstream circles (even though he's been in Modern Drummer) is that he's considered "jazz", though that's hardly all he does - funk, fusion, rock, hip hop, soul, jeez just RHYTHM. the sound reminds me of the Sabian compression hats, but with a dryer, airier open sound, and a crunchier closed sound. very interesting and unique! great playing from Harland as well.11 years ago
