Ha for what it's worth while I think this song is not a direct rip off of XTC there are definitely elements of Respectable Street in the intro and the melody from Senses Working Overtime is a little similar but neither are a copy, just Tim's brilliant music taste coming out, great song in its own right and an electric performance!

@wazmacmusic I just did, and I don't agree. There are some arrangement and rhythm similarities, but the chord progression, melody and harmonies are clearly different. For proper rip-offs, compare Nirvana's Come As You Are with Killing Joke's Eighties, and Coldplay's Viva La Vida with Joe Satriani's If I Could Fly...
