You Am I performing "Mr Milk" live at Sydney Opera House. The band were supporting Crowded House at their "Farewell to the World" show on 24 November 1996. Recording was first broadcast on MTV.

Ha for what it's worth while I think this song is not a direct rip off of XTC there are definitely elements of Respectable Street in the intro and the melody from Senses Working Overtime is a little similar but neither are a copy, just Tim's brilliant music taste coming out, great song in its own right and an electric performance!

Absolutely nothing like "senses working overtime" ( another good tune). This enchanting melody wholly belongs to Mr Rogers and his accomplished team.

@wazmacmusic I just did, and I don't agree. There are some arrangement and rhythm similarities, but the chord progression, melody and harmonies are clearly different. For proper rip-offs, compare Nirvana's Come As You Are with Killing Joke's Eighties, and Coldplay's Viva La Vida with Joe Satriani's If I Could Fly...
