I wonder why aging rock stars think they need to prove themselves again and again. Considering his age, he still sings great, but he just doesnt do himself a favour, trying to sing it the same way he did 25 years ago. Everybody knows the original version, and the only thing he shows is that he cant sing this high anymore.

Neither Rabin nor Howe has ever even tried to play each other - they both have their own unique takes to playing the guitar. There is a 2004 Albert Hall live version of "Owner of a Lonely Heart" out there on YouTube where both Rabin and Howe are playing and their clearly different styles are on display.
