This is very interesting, sounds like a mix between the 80's and the 90's, such a great song.

after reading what you've said...I've heard numerous people say that Nirvana was the beginning of crappy music. After them, anybody could write crappy music and get over. Kurt Cobain apparently found the formula to get over in music back then.

Kip shot his vocal wad on the Karma album. In 2010-2011 they started tuning down live, on everything ... and playing songs from the first 2 records a LOT lower. This is a good song. "Great Escape" is the big rocker, from this album.

Hi bud. Read you write a few times on you tube about different music. Me and my best mate are in our 40's and one of our favourite conversations is how it has all gone pear shaped and changed. He is still a muso, I had enough once grunge came in the early 90's- it was all over red rover for quality rock which had a strong 10 year period - many brilliant artists/ bands/ songwriters. They are slowly dwindling away keeping the fire burning. There is Nightwish, Within Temptation etc that I likea lot

Winger's "Karma" (2009) shows the band still has that so-called 'it.' And the stuff he's done outside of Winger is also very strong. "This Conversation Seems Like A Dream" (1997) has some very strong material on it! Tunes like "Here" really show what a SONGWRITER the man is. The man is a truly gifted musician and lyricist.

Good to know I'm not the only one. I think we'll all be happy when the world finally gets out of it's economic cluster fuck and we can go back to having stability and not fearing the future. Also, I'll be looking forward to when the higher ups in entertainment stop trying to sell us the same shit but with a different smell. Instead of playing it safe and not risking stuff, but making outstanding profits, they'll take risks and get over shit like all the movie remakes, FPS games, and crap music.

I dunno, it sounds alright for a rock track but very modern sounding. They should have included synthesizers atleast to make it more 80s. Must be the 'mix' of new music and digital recording technology used in this era. 80s tracks have a retro sound that is hard to describe. Reb is still an amazing guitarist though.

I re-read my comment and I might have been unclear, I said "young man" but I'm 25. But you are 100% right. Nothing confirms my hate for mainstream music more than when I come across some teens on the net saying,"WTF?!" to modern music and other things. Things can't be good all the time, or we'd have nothing to compare them to...but seriously, the late 00's to present pretty much sucked for tons of reasons. I very highly doubt I'll ever be nostalgic about this period of time later in my life.

@thetrophyone Just be lucky your not bored with shitty music like kids who don't have the ear to discover this shit for themselves. I was born in the mid 80's when Metallica came out with MoP and got Kill em All for my 12th birthday, so it was easier for some of us to backtrack then kids born in the 90's and early 2k's.
