I found that Whitney was effortless. Mariah can sing but she tried too hard and that was apparent, especially at the end when it sounded as if she (Mariah) was out of breath. Whitney had everything that was needed: she was relaxed, fluid, clear in diction and tone; she looked and sounded more professional and experienced; she had better breathing and control.
